Our Vision:

At Camp Yonnie, Jewish life, values, and tradition are at the heart of everything we do. We proudly create a camp experience grounded in kindness, generosity, and respect — values that resonate with families of all backgrounds.

Camp Yonnie proudly serves families throughout Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton, Ellenton, and Manatee County with engaging summer camp programs for elementary-aged children. Through immersive experiences, creativity, and meaningful traditions, campers build confidence, develop lifelong friendships, and connect to something bigger than themselves.

Shabbat:

Every Friday, Camp Yonnie comes together as one Kehillah Kedosha — a sacred community — to celebrate Shabbat. Through music, shared rituals, and meaningful traditions, campers mark the end of the week with joy, reflection, and connection. From lighting candles to sharing challah and leading blessings, each camper plays a role in creating a warm, welcoming experience for all. Families are invited to join in this special time that brings the entire community together.

At Camp Yonnie, Judaism is not a subject. It is the environment. Through everyday experiences — from songs and traditions to friendships and shared moments — campers connect to Jewish values in ways that feel authentic, joyful, and relevant, regardless of background.

Bethany Leinweber addresses a group of campers on a stage. All of them listen attentively, while some hold instruments and wait to play.

Supervised by Pros & Designed for Smiles

Camp Yonnie provides a number of different activities for our Happy Campers and every day is packed with exciting activities that spark creativity, build confidence, and bring campers together; from arts & crafts masterpieces and splash-filled pool time to sporty showdowns and musical jam sessions.

Whether your camper loves to cook, explore, perform, or play, there’s something here for everyone. Our caring staff ensures every activity is safe, age-appropriate, and full of positive energy. Rooted in Jewish values and open to all, Camp Yonnie is a place where friendships form fast, laughter comes easy, and every camper feels like they truly belong.

See what other parents are saying about Camp Yonnie!

I just wanted to thank you for making Camp Yonnie such a great experience for Jamie! He loves it so much! He asked if we can come back over the summer because he likes Camp Yonnie better than his temple camp in St. Louis.
“Our child has told us that he’d rather go to Camp Yonnie than 1. visit family in NY, 2. see a Broadway play and 3. go to Disney World.  So, looks like we will be home for Thanksgiving.”
“The kids loved it. Seriously feel like we won the lottery with camp. They felt so safe and happy and had the best time. Security was probably great but I’m freaked out in general.”
“We absolutely loved camp. The counselors and staff were amazing. We loved all the projects and variety of activities. I loved that my son was exposed and taught about activities and sports but not punished or isolated if he didn’t participate. I really felt like counselors and staff did everything to make him feel welcomed, included and special.”
“Our kids loved Camp Yonnie. They continued to talk about it all summer long. Next year, we will put them all in as many sessions as our travel plans will allow for!”
“Everything was great. My kids had only positive experiences to share.”
